Would you like meeting planners and conference organizers to invite you to speak for their own reasons?

How about high-paying speaking gigs and lucrative corporate-training opportunities?

Becoming a MEMORABLE In-Demand Expert™ through New Media like podcasts, livestreams, radio shows, and webinars will help you get there faster.

Planners and organizers need a sense of your speaking style, how relatable you are, how you look and sound, and everything that gives them a clear picture of what they’re getting when they approach you or approve your response to their Call for Speakers.

Sometimes they even conduct their speaker search based entirely by scouring podcasts, livestreams, radio shows, and webinars!

Not to mention, the more “memorable” and “in-demand” you appear, the more you’re just the sort of superstar speaker they can count on to put butts in seats and keep them there.

That’s Basically How I Do It…
(And So Can You)

When I get booked to speak, I tend to be the “after-lunch guy” because my use of the Showman Style makes people laugh, shocks them a little, and involves skilled use of call-and-response that prevents food comas and extended naps.

You can see that through any number of interviews I’ve given that show my body language and tonality; peruse some episodes of the Business Creators Radio Show and hear how, as a host, I leverage storytelling and pattern interrupts to keep listeners leaning in.

I have photographs and video clips from various events and seminars I’ve spoken at, available upon request.

Not to mention a collection of reviews from conference hosts, meeting planners, and event attendees if you can’t just take my word for it.

That said, my presence in New Media has been the deciding factor on at least a few occasions.

Indeed, event organizers and meeting planners have confided in me, in general, that they choose (and disqualify) prospective speakers based on their New Media interviews (or lack thereof).

New Media Can Get You Booked On Stage
Even If You Don’t Have Speaking Videos

If you want to get booked to speak super-quick, find seminars and events that are looking for sponsors.

What’s not always spelled out in the Call for Advertisers is that, in some cases, part of your VIP-Level Mega-Titanium Sponsorship includes you getting added to the speaker lineup – either way, when money is moving, deals can be made.

(THERE, I SAID IT. THE CAT’S OUT OF THE BAG.)

Now, let’s say you’ve done a few speaking engagements but couldn’t get video of your presentation – either because they didn’t offer any, or it seems like every attempt to get video falls through.

(I’ve been there – I ended up getting my host to agree to let me bring in my own videographer with three cameras, at my own expense, just to get a decent speaking video.)

When the best speaking opportunities seem to require demo footage but you can’t get any, it creates a chicken vs. egg situation.

Even in the pay-to-play scenario I described above, a vivrant New Media presence often makes the difference in persuading that host to “sweeten the pot” on your sponsorship by putting you on their stage.

But if you have no video, rest assured – all is not lost.

Podcasts, Livestreams, Radio Shows, And
Webinars Can Get You The Speaking Reel
Material You Need

The simplest thing is to get booked on video interviews and do them while standing up, so you can demonstrate your nonverbal cues and body language.

Or host your own video show and do the same thing.

Then get on stage and get your speaking video to leverage into more speaking gigs.

I know someone who went from not being able to get a speaking gig due to lack of video samples, to getting over a dozen engagements in just one year, by using New Media video samples in her speaking reel.

You Can Do This, Too. Really.
